Incompatible Magic Value

Dafuq does this grabblegush mean? Incompatible magic value? Oh, I'm sorry Windows, I thought we were still cool. I hadn't realize you'd moved on to soon. You used to like my staff of boning +1. I guess that's not enough for you now. Fine then, fine. Move on, who needs you. I still got OSX. It'll still love me.

...

Won't you?

(Seriously dafuq does this mean?)

Open Letter: Sufjan Stevens

Dear Sufjan Stevens,

Illinois has long been one of my favorite albums. Chicago is my go-to song when I want to actually feel human emotions. Michigan always finds a place on my iPhone. A Sun Came and Enjoy Your Rabbit aren't unlistenable.
So, I say this as a fan, a paying real actual true American cash money fan, and as a friend:

Quit making shitty music!

I read this yesterday. Another Christmas album? Really? Volumes 1 through 5 didn't quite cover the width and breadth of the Yuletide?

SufjanstevensageofadzAnd what was up with Age of Adz? A critic wrote this about Age of Adz:
quotes1
The new Sufjan Stevens album is a musical masterpiece that blends analog and digital sounds as it reflects on love and loss, life and death, humanity and divinity. The Age of Adz is both a bittersweet breakup album and a mantra-filled meditation on faith. Despite snatches of pain, doubt, and frustration, the record ultimately celebrates the joy of living and the possibility of emotional and spiritual rebirth.
Yeah...totally BS. What the critic meant to say was, it "is a musical malady that mad-scientist splices analog and so-painfully digital sounds as it implies that it is a deep meditation on love and loss and is actually just a mess of decent lyrics over distracting noise."
You don't know how hard I tried to like Age of Adz. I tried, Sufjan, I really did. But...there is only so much I can do. The word over-produced only just begins to describe those tracks. Auto-tune much? My only hope is that the songs from that album might sound pretty neat live, acoustically. That is the only hope.

In summary, more Chicago, less Christmas.

Please, Mr. Stevens, make Ohio, or Iowa, or Nebraska. Anything good, really.

Sincerely,
Chris

Talk to the Fish

Living in Korea, you expect some weirdness to pop up from time to time. Life here is one long "and now for something completely different" Monty Python segue, punctuating a bowl of live eels spilled on a commuter train (true story) and having "negative energy" bled from your gimp knee (true story).

So something like this comes as no surprise:

I'm lying. This is still pretty weird.
